How to Join CCC:
We receive members into our family in the following ways:
1. On Profession Of Faith-
You may come confessing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Your baptism will be scheduled as soon as possible.
2. By Transfer Of Letter
You may become a member of our church by letter if you are presently a member of another Southern Baptist church. Simply state that when you come forward during the invitation.
3. By Statement Of Faith
If you have previously been a member of a Baptist church but you are presently a member of another denomination, or if you have been immersed in another church, you may become a part of us by a statement of your faith.
4. By Baptism From Another Denomination
If you are a Christian coming from another denomination but have not been immersed, you may come for baptism into our church. (This is in no way intended to question your prior Christian commitment, but is meant as a symbol of your identification with our church's beliefs and practice.)

 To Join CCC:

  • STEP 1: Present yourself for membership by one of three options:
a. Coming forward during the invitation time of a regular worship service to share your desire with the Pastor.
b. Filling out a decision card available during any worship celebration and dropping it in an offering plate. The Pastor will follow up with your decision to be a part of this church body.
c. Contact Pastor Bobby Owensby directly at 870-5510 and declare your intent to be a part of this body of believers.
  • STEP 2: Attend our membership and orientation class, Discovery Class. Adults and Students grades 6 and up, who wish to join the church are expected to attend our church orientation class, Discovery Class, before membership is officially approved by the church. Discovery Class is a 4-5 session class that allows both the prospective member and the church to discover God’s intended plan for the believer in association with Christ Community Baptist Church.
  • STEP 3: Upon Completion of the Discovery Class, the prospective member or head of the family will be asked to sign a membership covenant. The family or individual will then be presented, prayed for, and dedicated to service at CCC at the earliest possible Sunday morning worship celebration.
Why we ask adults to complete Discovery Class.
1. We want to help you discover where you are in the biblical process and our church’s purpose of moving from “Lost to Leader.” The quickest way to help you on your spiritual journey is to let you know about the church, for you to let us know about you, and for us together to discover the opportunities for service, friendship, ministry, and worship that are available at CCC.

 2. We want to adequately inform new members and prospective members about the church’s purpose, beliefs, and ministries. Even though you may have been a member of another Baptist church, our church is not exactly the same. We have a specific purpose and vision that requires a strong level of commitment from every member. We believe that every member has the God-given capacity, ability, and responsibility to be a minister in the Kingdom of God.

3. We want to assist new members in becoming involved in ministry. The Discovery Class is the introduction to ministry involvement that implements and takes into account your personal passions, spiritual gifts, personal talents and skills, as well as God-given burdens. When you become what God wants you to be, it helps our church become what God wants the church to be.

 4. Churches that have clear and high expectations of members are more successful in achieving their purposes. We do not apologize for wanting you to succeed in your Christian walk. We are family at CCC, and we want to know you, and we want you to know us.

5. While the Scripture does not indicate that completion of a course is required for church membership, we do believe that the Scripture describes and prescribes a strong commitment from each member to the body. We have covenanted together to support one another, to love one another, to minister to and with one another, and to worship our Lord with one another. We want you to know if this is the right church for you. Discovery Class will help you accomplish exactly that.
