Community Groups are family groups in which members can live the Christian life together. Each group has a group shepherd and a group teacher, both of which are responsible to teach the group from the Word of God, lead the group to meet the needs of other group members, help facilitate the development of community (friendship) within the group, and lead the group to reach out to the unchurched world. Every member is accountable to a Community Group. Components of a Community Group include: prayer, Bible Study, food and fellowship, monthly outreach events, accountability, and meaningful and real friendships. All of these components allow us to follow Jesus' Leadership Growth Model. In order for our groups to develop growing, leadership minded believers, there must be accountability. We believe there will not be accountability until there is transparency and a willingness to share one's struggles and burdens. This transparency comes with the development of friendships. Therefore, our groups seek to be true Community (Friendship) groups. Below is a display of our Community Group focus.
